We tried to set up phone plans and they all say you have to have been a resident here for 6+ months before you can set up a contract. Not sure how this will work out but I think it's like having no credit in the states, so I worry we will run into this with everything like Internet and cable.
Also, Thomas has a bank account but the boys and I need to get our swedish social security number before we can be added. So it feels like every errand we try to quickly accomplish we run into obstacles.
It is almost like going moving out for the first time too bc we need so much new stuff, i.e., coffee maker, vacuum, blender, hair dryer...
We head 1.5 hrs away on Monday to sign up to be residents so I hope that goes smoothly...
But some things are quite nice,
These are funny to me, the typical bike here has a basket on the front and its a very old fashion looking bike. Everyone rides then especially out to dinner at night since you can not have one drink and drive, most people bike to dinner.
Everybody has been able to speak English to me so far and have been very helpful in stores and restaurants.
