This is entering a round about near the house. It's easy because its only one lane in the round about. It gets tricky when there are two lanes and you have to know which exit you are taking before you enter or else you could cause a crash. But it's been pretty entering the round about otherwise since you just yield to the cars already in it. They are always to the left so it makes my next driving challenge a bit trickier...
There apparently are "main" roads and not so "main" roads. If it's a main road you are supposed to see the yellow diamond as in this picture below...
Notice the yellow unmarked sign with 272 below (not sure what that 272 means). If you are on the main road other cars coming onto that road will have stop or yield signs to get onto it. However if you spot the same sign with a slash through it, it means it is not a main road and other cars on other roads may not be coming from main roads either, there are no stop signs or yields in any direction, and if you see an intersection, cars from the right have the right of way. There are streets you get on to that may not have a clear sign and seem "main" but you notice cars coming up to the intersection from the right and I get pretty confused whether to stop or not especially since its been more natural to yield to cars from the left in the round about... Like I said, I am managing, it's just different.
They take a lot of care planting beautiful flowers all over the medians in the summer and they look beautiful!
Here is the building Thomas works at. Inside when the boys have visited, they enjoy the coffee/hot chocolate machine that's available! Thomas's office is only 5 minutes away so since its so close, we don't think we will need two cars for now since I can always bring him to work and pick him up if I need the car and its easy to bike to most places in town.
Ben has commented that there is a lot of graffiti around and I agree. It could be on a random sign, or building. It seems very out of place to us since this isn't a big city or anything.
